Hi! My name is Rebekah Waldrop & I am your child's teacher.

A little about me:

I am the middle child of 3. I grew up in the beautiful mountains of North Carolina. I enjoy hiking and nature. I am energetic and athletic. I have always been shy, but have gradually peaked out of that shell over the span of a few years. I am very self-driven and have a desire to grow and learn throughout the rest of my life. I hope to make a positive impact on the world and inspire others to do the same in this divided world. My goal in life is to show each and every student that they are placed in this world for a purpose and that they have successful and positive future ahead of them, no matter their circumstances. I am grateful for the opportunity to be able to work in Special Education and learn alongside seasoned teachers who will train, mentor, supervise, and assist me in order to grow into a well-rounded suitable teacher. Ultimately, my passion is to advance this vision with the tools, skills, and strategies that I have been taught to be able to facilitate the most optimal learning environment for my students.

Why Do I want to Teach?

I am a teacher in order to make a positive impact on a child. I had trouble when I was younger understanding the material in the classroom due to a learning disability and no student deserves to be ignored to make the job easier. My heart is to show each and every child that they are placed in this world for a purpose and that they have a bright and successful future ahead of them, no matter the circumstances. It is important for me as an educator to make sure children feel safe, appreciated, and accepted for who they are inside my classroom – regardless of their ethnicity, race, or religion. It is important to me to implement into the next generation the act of courtesy for themselves and to others so that they can develop into hard working citizens.
