News & Notes

Wow!  Over 30 days in Kindergarten.  It's been so rewarding to see the milestones your children have made in the last 3 months.  I am very proud.

Please remember:  If your child is eating breakfast at school make sure they are here and heading to the cafeteria by 7:45.  Our day begins at 8:00.
Our curriculum is getting more challenging as the days progress, we are learning our letters, word wall words, and we are writing and sounding out new words. We are rhyming, counting to 100,  exploring and experimenting in Science, and learning about new people and places in Social Studies.  Our day is jam packed!  Please continue to read with your child, complete homework assignments, and make sure your child is here on time, everyday, unless of course they are sick.  Work on counting to 100, review word wall words, and did I mention READ, READ, READ!!!!!  I am getting ready to send home night readers so make sure your child is doing the reading and if they get stuck you can help them sound it out.  Help them locate word wall words and use picture clues to help them sound out unknown words.  If we work together your child will have more opportunities to succeed.
Please contact me by phone 670-5028 or by email if you have any questions or concerns.
Thank you for all you do,
Mrs. McClure
